Community Information Clinics to be held in Kilkee and Kilrush
Local residents and newly arrived members of the local community in West Clare are being invited to two Community Information Clinics in Kilkee and Kilrush next Wednesday.
The purpose of the events is to showcase the range of employment, education, community, transport, recreation and social services available throughout West Clare.
The Clinics are being organised by Clare County Council’s Integration Team, in conjunction with Clare Local Development Company, Clare Sports Partnership, TFI Local Link, Limerick & Clare Education & Training Board, Clare Volunteer Centre, LCDC, Clare Immigrant Support Centre and Intreo.
Each of the organisations will be present to provide advice in relation to volunteering, bus services, sport and physical activity, immigration support resources, English classes, inclusive employment, education and training, and finding work and designing a CV.
Brendan Boyce, Integration Support Coordinator for Clare County Council, said, “West Clare is well served when it comes to public and community support services. These events will provide the local community with an opportunity to learn what these services are and how they may benefit from them. For others who have recently moved to West Clare, these events will provide a breakdown on the range of services that exist locally and will assist them in successfully settling into their new communities.”
The Community Information Clinics will be held at the Elliot Centre, Smyths Gardens, Kilkee, from 10.30am to midday and at the West Clare Family Resource Centre in Kilrush from 1.30pm to 3.00pm on Wednesday, 4th September.
